Couple different things I'm seeing here.

Just because you feel this way, doesn't mean anyone should do anything. People have their own goals and interests, and it seems like you have different goals than most people you know.

Then... get off the computer. Go to a bar for Christ's sake. Talk to people you meet randomly. Sitting at home working on your project complaining you don't have connections with people is like smoking a cigarette and saying your lungs hurt. You wont find the connections you're looking for in your project.
- dennykane 9y agoI'm just trying to inspire online conversations about my actual technology, at the moment. I really don't need to go anywhere special. I'm extremely outgoing. I'm pretty well known where I live. I've recently had an article written about me (those kinds of feature stories about interesting characters) in a local newspaper, and random people have been coming up to me and talking to me. My main issue is trying to fully connect my two parallel worlds of extreme tech innovation and all of the crazy things that I'm known for. I think I can make a fairly good argument that people should start helping me out here, after nearly 5 years of solo work. The technology is that good. It was honestly a little link-baity of me to use the word addiction in the title, sorry.
