I remember reading this decades ago and wondering what this might be. Now he's explained it! I'm glad I looked at this again.
- saganus 9y agoIf you haven't yet, read the linked article. It's a very entertaining read that expands on this, although a bit long. [0] http://www.stanford.edu/~learnest/les/mongrel.htm http://www.stanford.edu/~learnest/les/mongrel.htm
- kw71 9y agoI actually appreciate this one more. I feel like I have been reading a letter from an elderly person whose way of thinking and weltanschauung I can relate to. I am not a young person anymore, but always have been generally disgusted when talking to boomers and older generations about sociology.
- JoeDaDude 9y agoYes, the linked article, "Can computers cope with human races?" is the funniest thing I've read since Richard Feynamn's book "Surely You're Joking Mr. Feynman" [0]. - Nition 9y agoYou could take this guy's stories and insert them into Surely You're Joking... and hardly notice honestly. Totally the same style and outlook.
