How would you apply that thought if a friend gave you their credit card and asked you to buy something for them?
What about if you ran an online store that held credit card numbers, or any other sensitive data?
- problems 9y agoBoth situations are different - they're losing something that they didn't give you - their money.

- problems 9y agoIt's not private information, it's information they gave me in exchange for a service.
- clay_to_n 9y agoI disagree - in both situations, they gave you something for one purpose, and you used it for a different purpose that they didn't consent to. They didn't give you their info so that you could sell it.
