Tools mankind invented so far have been extremely productive as well as destructive. I think worry should not be on if one day the Superhuman AI will take over the mankind, but if we will be able to stop/limit the destruction of that advanced tool in the wrong hands. Definition of who's right or wrong unfortunately contested. We are a species of justifying our actions. The leverage and exploitation of advanced AI in the hands of malicious people/corporations/states are in a much closer timeline than the "Superhuman AI" could get. So Open AI kind of initiatives are very important to balance things out. Somehow I am not optimistic.
