As a combination CEO/CTO at the moment, rather less tech and rather more strategising than one might imagine.
Previous founder/CTO role not enough outward-facing strategising, SWOT, etc, and maybe a bit too much time in the codebase.
My current mantra is that the 'T' part is much less than half the job from a dev standpoint; it's slotting that together with all the other considerations that is key.
- obayesshelton 10y agowhen you talk about "strategizing" are talking about finding and conceptualising new technologies or looking at your competitors?
- DamonHD 10y agoBoth, and cost reduction techniques, and channels to market, etc. In other words, setting the parameters of the space in which we then get to apply the 'T' part!
