FIFA (and the other football governing bodies) takes the management of their rights/content/trademarks very seriously.
I wouldn't want to get in an argument with them over whether it was permissible to rebroadcast their content. Saying in advance that you're going to do it is like prodding a cage of rabid lawyers with a stick.
- david927 16y agoIt's just the opening ceremony. From the article: "Proceeds from the concert will be used for 20 Centres for 2010, a charity campaign devoted to building twenty Football for Hope Centres for public health, education and football across Africa." I wouldn't expect a fight over this.
- goatforce5 16y agoA friend of a friend was in charge of sending out enforcement letters for previous World (or maybe it was Euro) Cups. I'd absolutely expect them to send out angrygrams for this.
