Is Tesla relocating to China?
- JKCalhoun 10y agoCan't help but think that selling cars for $80K and up is really leading a revolution of any kind.
- a13n 10y agoModel 3
- JKCalhoun 10y agoI see $35K "base price" for the Model 3. Reviews I'm seeing suggest that "base model" is a joke. Once you add the things everyone will really want: "$74,500 on top of the $35,000: a cool $109,500." https://www.inverse.com/article/13670-how-much-real-tesla-model-3-cost https://www.inverse.com/article/13670-how-much-real-tesla-mo...
- olivermarks 10y agoVery vague article. Chinese production methods and quality - or lack of it - may be a defining factor alongside domestic demand volume. Getting EV's to mass production is very tricky, Tesla are striving to get to profitability in what could be a make or break year. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-tesla-assemblyline-idUSKBN17Q0DE http://www.reuters.com/article/us-tesla-assemblyline-idUSKBN...
- Robotbeat 10y agoEvery single year, people say it's "a make or break year" for Tesla (and SpaceX, for that matter).
- noonespecial 10y agoThat's because every single year so far has been.
- kalleboo 10y agoSo far it hasn't been so much "make or break" as "survive or break" though
- vkou 10y agoWhen you're in the rocket business, and you don't have a big warchest, every year is a make-or-break year. One crash, and your entire cashflow seizes up. You may not be liable for the rocket exploding, but you sure aren't going to be flying any more rockets, until your customers are assured that it won't happen again.
