One motivation, especially with a code-first work flow, is tying source control and db versioning together. With Entity Framework, you can downgrade the DB structure back to a specific point in time.
- dhd415 9y agoVersioning a database schema is orthogonal to the use of an ORM even though EF is an ORM that also facilitates database schema versioning.
