I'm curious if the ultraound causes increased wear of the fabric at the thread ends, for example.
- s0rce 10y agoConventional driers also cause significant wear to clothes.
- yourapostasy 10y agoRight, so the question is if the ultrasonic causes more than hotbox dryers, or condensation dryers, or the heat pump dryers.
- sandworm101 10y ago>> sonically baffle any outlet Good point! The water vapour needs a way out. That means a direct air path between the fabric and the outside world. They cannot seal the entire thing in a vacuum bottle to deaden the sound. I see a 50' pipe full of baffles, a giant truck muffler, between this thing and anyone with eardrums.
- averagewall 10y agoIt seems to produce droplets of cold liquid water, not vapor, so it should be much easier to collect that into a container in a closed system. There are ultrasonic mist generators for cooling yourself down which probably work on the same principle: https://www.amazon.com/Ultrasonic-Cool-Mist-Humidifier-Whisper-quiet/dp/B013IJPTFK https://www.amazon.com/Ultrasonic-Cool-Mist-Humidifier-Whisp...
