I recently visited my gran, who told me she has prescriptions for Co-codamol and Tramadol. She had no idea how addictive they were and was popping them down like candy. The doctor had given her no warning as to how addictive they are. I told her to speak to her GP and that she should consider disposing the tablets at her local pharmacy. A recent study showed that on average it takes 10 days for a patient to become dependent and addicted to opiates like these and weaning people off them is a horrible experience for the patient.
