So will this replace alpine which is for some reason much loved in docker world?
- u320 9y agoNo Alpine is mostly used as a guest OS, and this is meant to be used as the host OS.
- StreamBright 9y agoIt is also loved in the security world, and in the systemd-free world.
- djsumdog 9y agoI switched to Void Linux to get back into the systemd free world. So far I'm pretty happy with it.
- vidarh 9y agoThe "some reason" is very simple: It's tiny. If you want to build a container image and want it to be as small as possible, but want a bit more flexibility than e.g. just busybox or just your app, it's very convenient.
