I actually just went back to it yesterday after dropping it six months ago in favor of JetBrains WebStorm. I was a pretty early user of VS Code and it felt really clunky. The whole tabs vs. sections thing was a fierce debate at the time I started using it and took me a while to get used to it.
Looks as though they continue to integrate full Visual Studio functionality and have added in tabbed navigation, which is great. I'm going to stick with it for a while now since it feels much snappier and easy to use.
