- zepto 9y agoBear in mind that this is someone who is considered by a significant part of the population and the government to be a traitor who aided various enemies. Whether or not you share that view, it's hardly surprising that people who are supporting him are facing this kind of hassle.

Also known as a journalist. This view is not unique to one country either, there are lots of countries where journalists are given that treatment - or worse.
- graton 9y agoThe interrogation in the article occurred before Snowden.
- kafkaesq 9y agoBear in mind that we have this thing known as a "constitution" , which such harassment definitely contravenes in spirit (and most likely the letter of as well). Being as this constitution, as you will recall, was specifically designed to elevate due process and rule of law generally above the whims of public sentiment, and the flames of transient passions.
