- scribu 10y agoNot sure about being clickbait, but it's definitely not informative. My suggestion, after reading it: "From Software To Permaculture"
- ranit 10y ago> "From Software To Permaculture" You might have missed the last part of the blog-post.
- throwanem 10y agoNo. Clickbait is overblown and vaguely deceptive titles, not short and cryptic ones. Based on the title and the domain name, and on zero prior familiarity with the writer, I figured it for one of those "we're moving on/what an amazing trip it's been/next stage in our journey" Valley-style bankruptcy announcements. In a cockeyed way, that's actually more or less what it is.
- foobarchu 10y agoClickbait is a headline that gives you all the information except one key part, along the lines of "thing happened, you'll never guess end result". It literally baits you into clicking by giving you just enough to make you want more, taking advantage of human psychology to maximize headline efficiency. Almost like a more refined version of soundbites. This headline is just undescriptive. It's not baiting anyone, though, it's just what the author felt was the most applicable title.
- zellyn 10y agoI saw "Next" and figured it was a company or individual blogging about their next move. Which it was. Seems fine.
- coldtea 10y agoLet's put it this way: posts are not made for you. They are not created for HN either. The author can use whatever title they want. They can make it funny, suspenseful, etc. Maybe stick with "clickbait" where it originated and applies: to online media (especially news/gossip etc websites) making money off eyeballs, instead of some random person's blog?
