The Great War (WWI) was a 20th century event?
- jt2190 9y agoYes. Confusing as it is, the first digits of the current year (2017) don't align with the current century (21st) because we started counting centuries at one, not zero. e.g. 1 A.D. / 1st, 100 A.D. / 2nd, 1000 A.D. / 11th, etc.
