Every time something like this breaks I have to take it with a grain of salt. I've been fooled by HN before about "major" security breaches that end up not having much of an impact at all.
Cloudflare leak in Feb... sounded like the world was ending here.
- i336_ 9y agoYou may have noticed that the biggest freakout was from Google. The freakout wasn't due to the incident itself (although obviously everyone was unimpressed the leak happened), it was the fallout: the leaked data was archived in various caches. Google's indexes of the web are the biggest.
