Great post, +1.
So in that case imagine there is a PARC bis somewhere out there... what kind of out-of-regular-folks wallet things they might be working on right now?
I want to be surprised today like Jobs was when he visited them first time.
- visarga 10y agoI think DeepMind is another PARC. They never cease to amaze me with their brilliant papers. Something just as great as the personal computer and GUI will be built there.
- Baeocystin 10y agoAny standouts you are able to link? I'd love to dive in, but I am not sure where to start.
- visarga 10y agoWavenet impressed me much: https://deepmind.com/blog/wavenet-generative-model-raw-audio/ https://deepmind.com/blog/wavenet-generative-model-raw-audio... Also Decoupled Neural Interfaces: https://deepmind.com/blog/decoupled-neural-networks-using-synthetic-gradients/ https://deepmind.com/blog/decoupled-neural-networks-using-sy... And AlphaGo of course.
