Looks like it's legal in Germany to tie individual bonuses to sick days taken. Making it a group bonus though is going to really generate pressure to show up.

Looks like it's legal in Germany to tie individual bonuses to sick days taken. Making it a group bonus though is going to really generate pressure to show up.
- jacquesm 9y agoCue a whole department going down with the flu because of this. Dumb. Employees should be encouraged to stay home when ill, not encouraged to go to work. Besides the obvious risks from infection of course there are contributory risks such as someone causing a workplace accident because they are ill and therefore not as concentrated on their work as they should be.
