  ... but so true. I grew up in the South and am in an inter-racial marriage. After I moved up to a northern "blue" state, I met more overtly racists people than I thought possible. It was shocking.

    Yeah, I'm in Minneapolis too. When things blew up with the cops and BLM, the rest of the country was shocked that it could happen in nice, tolerant, liberal Minneapolis. Not me. :( North Minneapolis is as segregated as anything the South can offer.

  I grew up in Seattle and have since lived in a few southern cities; I agree with you completely.
