I've been to the ocean many times and have never noticed any obvious curvature. If it is visible, I can only imagine it's much easier for somebody who doesn't want to see it to miss it. EDIT: I just Googled and it sounds like the planet's radius is big enough that, within the range our eyes can see, the curve is extremely subtle.
