Thats an ideal world... but we know that the egos that drive open source projects are not keen on banding together... they need THEIR project to be the best one, even if it only differs in completely minor ways that are all but hidden from the user.
- hashhar 10y agoI agree. It's not just limited to software development. Take politics, food or business partners splitting off companies for example. But it's something that has a higher chance of happening in the open-source world than anywhere else.
