I have a mission-critical DLL with functionality I can't replicate due to patents. It's not about cost. It's due to the patent holder not wanting an alternative in the market place.
- hedora 10y agoThis actually sounds like a good use for WINE. If the DLL has few external dependencies, it could probably be made reliable enough for mission critical stuff.
- Beltiras 10y agoI'd have to pass validation on a non-conforming platform according to the manufacturers documentation. Good luck with convincing regulatory bodies of that.....
