I think you are making a very valid point. Even Putin is an individual and its just wrong to shame a person with photoshop images. Imagine if instead of Putin, it was someone whom you knew closely. I agree with the courts verdict. There is no good way to determine a fine line between artistic freedom and hurting someones sentiments. Just as there is no good way to determine someones motivations or quantify various human traits.
