- christux 9y agoThanks to all who are trying this, and apologies to those who cannot connect - I've written the servers to deny new connections when the load average is too high.
- aespinoza 9y agoThis is really cool. Are you going to be open source the code for this ?
- christux 9y agoThanks. I have no plans yet re: open-sourcing. I just made a thing and am asking whether it has a use. Can I ask why it is cool? Could it be useful?
- aespinoza 9y agoThe main use I see, is having a way not to carry my laptop when I travel. Which will prevent anyone from asking me to give access to my files. This would allow me to protect my privacy while traveling.
- christux 9y agoThanks to everyone who tested this. I am now shutting the servers down for a few days, while I consider the feedback I've received.
- christux 9y agoI have implemented some fixes and the site is up again.
- cdvonstinkpot 9y agoSadly, I'm late to the party & you've shut down access by the time I found your post here. With regards to your question about use-cases, I've used Windows based web-VDI's in the past to run Chrome-based BTC trading bots & execute long-running operations where I wouldn't have otherwise been able to from home/office due to uptime constraints outside my control. Also, I was unaware that it was even possible to deny new connections based on load average, until I saw you mention having done so. Sounds handy & I'll certainly be Googling to figure out how to do the same.

- JepZ 9y ago@christux as it seems to be down again, could you post a screenshot or so?
