You're not the only one who will not be seeing this new film. I learned this after Star Wars: The Force Awakens. As someone who has absorbed much of the Extended Universe eratta, it physically hurt to watch that movie. The story overrode much of what Disney relegated to "Star Wars Legends" - this is an experience not worth re-living with GITS.
- amorphid 10y agoIf it helps, I saw it. If you hadn't need the original, you might think it was OK. I was mildly entertained, but not impressed.
- WillyOnWheels 10y agoI had fun at a matinee showing of it. It's fine. I didn't feel angry about spending a few dollars on it. The movie has a few shot for shot remakes of a couple scenes from the anime that are pretty cool. I took to the movie someone not familiar with the anime, she asked me "why doesn't Major just take the elevator?"
