I'm working on Dullahan - an open source, headless browser SDK that uses the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF). It is designed to make it easier to write applications that render modern web content directly to a memory buffer, inject synthesized mouse and keyboard events as well as interact with web based features like JavaScript or cookies.
Currently working on Windows 32/64 bit and macOS 64 bit although there is still lots left to do on both platforms as well as pulling together the pieces for a Linux version.

- j_s 10y agoWhat is the advantage of your project over regular headless Chrome? It appears you have prioritized Windows + MacOS while the official version only supports Linux. https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/lkgr/headless/README.md https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+/lkgr/headle... I am also curious regarding the timeline of your decision to implement this on CEF vs. the official headless support finally picking up steam around the same time (October 2016). Keep up the good work!
- callumprentice 10y agoThanks for the info j_s. The project has been going for some time and as far as I know, headless Chrome wasn't an option back then. I've come across it in the past but I didn't realize it was as far-forward as that page suggests - looks really neat and sadly, might render my modest efforts obsolete. Windows and macOS are the priority now since we are using it for rendering web content inside my company's primary application and for us at least, the focus is on those platforms. There is a working Linux implementation - it just needs some love from someone who knows what they're doing. I'll take a closer look. Thank you!
