Oh man, my thoughts and best wishes are with you. Incredibly unfair and damaging to not just you, but to anyone who would have (and did) benefit from your work. I hope for us all (but you especially) that you get out of that hole. (And receive some help on the way, since you were helped 'down' so quick.) I studied econ in college, and looking at our society and how we judge and reprimand, the dumping of babies and bathwater, we've got to be wasting supra-historical sums of human potential and welfare. But, on the other hand, unintended cruelty seems to be our nature.
