When OpenAI was announced, they mentioned having $1B in funding. Why the additional $30M?

- MichaelGG 10y agoI went through it but didn't see anything addressing why OpenAI needed more money.

- backpropaganda 10y agoThe $1B was just promised funding, not immediate. This $30M could be immediate. This makes me believe that perhaps the original funding is being dropped due to lack of results.
