- mrkurt 10y agoMissed this yesterday! This would be more equivalent to deploying an API gateway in multiple datacenters across the world. You _could_ do CloudFlare + API Gateway in one datacenter, but it'd be pretty slow. One of our main premises is that lots of code/middleware should run at the edge. Beyond that — we have some overlap with api gateways, but there's a lot we do that applies more to apps than APIs, like mix and matching backends on the same hostname, sending user analytics data to services, etc.
