Taking notes is also a form of Influence Capital. Having proof of what people said, when they said it, is extremely important for people like me with "100% Accountability, 0 Authority" roles. Being the only person taking notes is the ultimate CYA outside of an audio recording (not that any of this matters in the chain of command, but at least it feels good to be right at the end of the day).
