The meter is supposed to be inspectable to the local tax collectors who can ensure that the correct tax is paid.
- stagbeetle 10y agoThe incenvives are too screwed up for this to help consumers. If they undercharge, they get fined. If they overcharge, the tax authority gets more money. It's almost like a bribe.
