On a large scale, I don't have any objection to seeking to end human mortality. However, I'm skeptical of our ability to maintain a functional society given the existence of immortal humans. I can't even imagine the levels of inequality when portions of the population can live forever. Never mind the ethics of figuring out how to dole out immortality, and to whom.
