Not exactly the type of speculative high-risk investment you're talking about, but I've been thinking about a script to automatically re-balance my ETF portfolio. This can potentially decrease the time I spent thinking about my investments from the current ~4 hours a year. I can still benefit from a long-term 7% ROI.
