I seem to remember reading that while the younger kids were disadvantaged during school, they made up for it later and overtook their peers. Presumably because they were used to working harder.

- anothercomment 10y agoSure, it seems a lot could go wrong. Unfortunately I could not readily find the article in question again (damn you, Firefox bookmarks manager). Instead I found one in German that said kids who are schooled at a younger age have a significantly higher rate of ADD diagnoses, suggesting they are being misdiagnosed because of their younger age.
