I have an old abandoned project inspired by ex widgets.... in assembly. Sometimes I think it might be worth getting back into it just for the GUI part as a lightweight framework, but assembly is so intimidating sometimes. Honestly because of its package executable nature, I would probably try to do something in go instead.

That would be interesting to have a look at. I'm still yet to properly get into assembly myself, but there isn't enough graphical stuff done in asm out there.
