The internet is a medium of communication like air and should not be subject to advertiser brand management. Advertising really shouldnt even be the primary method of financing; it should all be paid for with some sort of tax.

- lewiscollard 10y ago> it should all be paid for with some sort of tax. Which in practice works out as the state deciding what things should and should not be funded and, therefore, seen. Even if the current global political climate was not so awful I would still think this is a terrible idea.
