- HeavenBanned 10y agoThe writing is very obtuse and presupposes a lot of knowledge that isn't laid bare. Altogether I'd say it's an interesting piece if you have more background. Also, just as an aside, you gotta love "North Korean propaganda film" tagged on at the end. So what would we call the Iranian father in "Not without my Daughter"? That's right. The "evil Iranian husband" of an American propaganda film. Instead, we never see or call it out in that way - we just call it "Hollywood". Generic, bland, neutral. When it's anything but. Let's get of our high-horses with this bullshit.
