What app would this be?
Classic Google taking an existing feature, rip it out, and put it back into another app with Minimum Viable Product functionality, and slowly restore it to parity
- justboxing 10y agoI can see a very valid (and very useful) use case for parents to track their kids when they are out with friends, or in a field trip. Hopefully less missing children.
- probably_wrong 10y agoAh, to be old... When non-smart phones and GPS for the general public arrived in my country, there was a discussion among the lines of "now that it's possible to track your kids' position, would you do it?". The general consensus seemed to be "no, that would be a violation of their privacy, and it would imply that I don't trust them". 20 years later, and it's a feature in all phones. I guess that point is finally settled.
