I feel like at the rate we are going we will eventually reach the Visual Basic days where a monolithic IDE will lower the barrier for front-end development so much that anyone could tinker with it and produce stellar applications with little to no programming knowledge.
The only difference from Visual Basic days is that now we have ML and AI to further simplify and do the thinking for us.
Designers will be hit the hardest. Followed by developers.

- goatlover 10y agoLotus Notes was a thing at one point. It didn't seem to stick around. Excel would sort of fall in that category.
