I am slowly preparing comparison on basis of real edits. I want to get most edited files from Linux kernel and prepare edit commands based on diffs. Then run those edit commands on few editors, compare the speed of whole operation and resources usage. But most important thing is how quick is navigating through whole file at random after all edits. Editors using ropes should have fast edits, but may have slow navigation after lots of edits.
