Minimum acceptable service = 10%, shift the decimal point. Done. $4.
Average service, 15%, add half. $6.
Above average, 20%, double. $8.
If the final answer is not an even $, round up or down.
I'm sure it's a great app, I hope it does well, but the above is the upper limit of how much I want to think about a tip, particularly since I minimize the number of apps I put on my phone.
