this reminds me of one of my favorite youtube channels, AvE: https://www.youtube.com/user/arduinoversusevil https://www.youtube.com/user/arduinoversusevil he takes apart tools to see what they are made of and determines points of failure and longevity. of course he has a love of things built to last, just like anyone who makes stuff. makes me realize that with a little learning, we should all be able to see past crap products that are built to fail.
