I don't know if this is true in Tiny's case but many VC firms do this intentionally to mislead people into thinking they're a large investor in big hits. I.e.,

I don't know if this is true in Tiny's case but many VC firms do this intentionally to mislead people into thinking they're a large investor in big hits. I.e., they'll put in a relatively small amount of money (and overpay) in a later round for a unicorn like Uber just so they can have the Uber logo on their site.
