Drill new wells next to it, into the same source, to remove the oil and pressure in a controlled way.
- frankus 16y agoThat's basically what the "relief well" plan is, but it's taking a couple of months to get there. I think the trick is that it needs to be intercepted deep enough into bedrock to not risk having the whole BOP crater.
