I've been using Netlify for over a year to host static websites on custom domains and it's been impressive to me. Their control panel and tight git integration makes for a powerful combination. Not to mention that they also introduced a free tier for custom domains that I'm now using for some sites. This is exciting to see them work on. I'm disappointed to see that they aren't focusing on designers though. Something like RespondCMS for Netlify hosting would be a superior combo.
