Sounds like a boring way to live, but if you're that scared of the opinions of others, reality has harsh surprises in store for you. Gamergate (which is a vague term) also has connotations of a social backlash against progressivism and political correctness, which I wholeheartedly endorse. Sometime you just want to blow things up, and not every game without a female or minority or gay role model is sending a bad message.
