Don't forget state income taxes which very easily can bring you effective rate up to 30-40%.
- pc86 10y agoYou are 100% right, if you're in a state with a progressive state income tax your effective rate can go up pretty quickly. I am spoiled to live in a state with a ~3.2% flat income tax.
