Ask HN: Is there an (nonspying) alternative to the android Google keyboard?

I mistakenly upgraded the google keyboard app in my lowend Android phone and ended up with GBoard. The thing is reading all what I write, suggesting unsolicited searches and it is almost as heavy as Chrome. Does anyone knows better? any suggestions are welcome :D
