I guess it's pretty feasible to take all of those in a year, especially if mathematics is your area of study. This wasn't the case in engineering in my experience.
In any case, this wouldn't be so bad with a 4 year degree. Not really any harder than other PhD candidacy exams I've looked at
- kutkloon7 10y agoOh wait, is it for a PhD program? Then it is pretty easy indeed. Although I would still possibly choke on proving that the surface area equals that formula. I mean, are you supposed to use the standard formula for surface of revolutions (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surface_of_revolution#Area_formula https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surface_of_revolution#Area_for...)? Are you supposed to derive this formula yourself? Strictly speaking, I don't even know the definition of surface.
