Surely the navigation should be decoupled from scrolling. I think this happens because people try to shoe-horn multiple pages into one page. IMHO these should be separate pages, not one page with pseudo-subpage content. You could use mouse events, or click buttons, or touch events to navigate between them. Perhaps this comes out of the hinterland between touchscreen scrolling and gesturing. What if I want to zoom in or out on the slide for reasons of accessibility?
